Cheltenham Town has signed former Blackburn Rovers man Andi Weimann. The 35-year-old striker joins the club after a stint at Derby County and a loan at Rapid Vienna.
Weimann had been a free agent since leaving Derby County at the end of last season. He spent the second half of last term on loan at Rapid Vienna.
“I am delighted to get it done, I can’t wait to get going," he told the club site. “I’ve had some really good conversations with the manager, I’m excited by what’s to come and I want to help as much as I can.”
Manager Steve Cotterill added: “Andreas brings proven quality to the squad. He has played at a consistently high level throughout his career as well as for his country. “He has some excellent qualities and we believe he will compliment our attacking options well. I look forward to having him as part of the group for the season ahead.”
The experienced forward now heads to Whaddon Road as Cheltenham aim to build on last season’s 18th-place finish in League Two. League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 18th in England League Two, 52 pts, 14W-10D-22L from 46 games, recent form LLLWW.
