Cheltenham Town manager Steve Cotterill has been given a three-game touchline ban by the Football Association. The punishment follows a scuffle after his side's 2-2 draw with Grimsby Town earlier this month.
Cotterill was also fined £2,250. The FA confirmed the sanctions for misconduct after the final whistle of the League Two match at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium. Grimsby coach Raymond Shearwood was sent off in the same incident and received a one-match ban and a £450 fine.
Cheltenham, currently fifth in League Two on 12 points, were fined £6,750 as a club. Grimsby were ordered to pay £5,500.
Cotterill will miss three matches from the stands. He is banned for Saturday's trip to Colchester United, where his team drew 1-1 in their last outing. He will also be absent for the EFL Trophy home game against Exeter City on 22 September and the League Two fixture against Chesterfield at home on 26 September.
"I am disappointed with the outcome but accept the decision," Cotterill said.
The team's recent form shows two wins and three draws from their last five games. They face Chesterfield next, who sit eighth in the table.
